Several times a
year we host
mission teams
that come to
help in the work
that we are
doing. Many of
those who come
are "repeaters"
as they have
been here
several times
and have formed
relationships
with those that
we minister to.
Just a few of
the activities
that mission
teams can
participate in
are:
-
construction
at A.M.O.'s
Headquarters
(including
electrical,
welding,
plumbing,
painting,
wood work,
etc)
-
renovation
of
wooden huts,
rewiring
electrical
hazards in
the favelas
-
food basket
preparation
and
distribution
-
preparing
kits
(hygiene,
school
supplies,
baby care,
clothing,
etc) for
distribution
in the
favelas
-
visitations
and
testimonies
-
children's
programs
(preparing
VBS type
programs and
activities
for the
kids)
-
arts &
crafts
programs for
the women
and teens
(preparing
and teaching
a skill or
craft)
-
improving
our Ministry
Center in
the favela
(light
construction)
-
preaching/
teaching
-
praise and
worship
-
evangelism
-
teaching in
the seminary
classes at
A.M.O.'s
headquarters
-
and much
