Hunger Relief
-Food Baskets-

Food
Baskets, known
in Brazil as
“Cesta Básica”
are a very
sought after
item by the poor
people. These
packages are
made up of the
basic food items
needed by each
family, as
deemed by the
government.
Unfortunately,
prices are
always going up,
making it
difficult to
afford.
Through
the donations of
others, we have
been blessed to
be able to
provide many of
these food
baskets to
hungry people
over the past
years. This has
opened the doors
for many to hear
the Gospel and
see Jesus
Christ, through
his servants, in
action. Our goal
is to “Feed My
Sheep” not only
spiritually, but
physically as well.
Each Food Basket
costs
approximately
$36 dollars and
generally
contains the

donations
received for
Hunger Relief we

wholesale
grocery
warehouses.
Then, back at
A.M.O.’s
headquarters our
volunteers
separate and
pack up each
basket to be
delivered in the
favelas.
